Luxury Family Photoshoot Experience
How It Works

Before the Shoot — Planning & Preparation
Initial Consultation
- After booking, we’ll discuss your vision, preferred locations (home, outdoor, or studio), and styling tips to ensure timeless, elegant portraits.
- I’ll guide you on wardrobe choices, colours, and accessories that photograph best.
Location & Timing
- For outdoor shoots, golden hour (sunrise/sunset) provides the most flattering light.
- Home sessions are relaxed, allowing candid moments in your natural environment.
Preparing Your Family
- Relax—this is about capturing your family’s unique connection, not stiff poses.
- For young children, ensure they’re rested and fed before the session.
During the Shoot — A Stress-Free Experience
My Approach
- I blend classic portraiture with documentary-style moments for authentic, artistic results.
- Gentle direction ensures natural interactions — no forced smiles.
Duration
- Sessions typically last 1–3 hours, allowing time for outfit changes (if desired) and breaks.
Pets & Props
- Pets are welcome! Heirlooms or meaningful props (e.g., a favourite book) add personal touches.

Q& A
What should we wear?
Keep it simple and “you”! Here’s what works best:
- Solid colours or soft patterns (avoid loud logos/busy prints)
- Coordinating tones (not matchy-matchy — think “same color family”)
- Comfortable layers (cardigans, jackets add texture)
- Accessories welcome! (hats, scarves, statement jewelry for portraits)
I’ll send a full style guide after booking!
How should we prep the kids?
Pro tips from a x3 parent-photographer:
- Full bellies, rested kids = happier photos (snacks always help)
- Let them pick one outfit piece (gives them ownership)
- Keep it fun! (We’ll play games, not force smiles)
When will the photos be ready?
Photo processing times depend on the complexity of the shoot, but I aim to provide finished work within 1-2 weeks. Once the editing is complete, I’ll provide you with a link to protected online gallery where you can view and download them. Prints and photo books are also available, which will take a little longer.
Studio vs. outdoors — which is better?
Depends on your vibe!
- Outdoors: Relaxed, natural, great for active kids
- Studio: Controlled, classic, perfect if weather’s iffy
What should we bring?
For families: A favorite toy/blanket, snacks, lip balm
- For portraits: 2-3 outfit options, touch-up makeup
- For everyone: Your authentic selves (cheesy grins optional)
What if we’re awkward in front of the camera?
99% of people say this—I’ll direct you naturally so you look like “you" at your best.
